About Me
I graduated from Washington University School of Medicine with a B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1974. Since graduating I have worked as a Physical Therapist in a variety of settings, treating all ages of patients from infants to geriatrics. I have provided physical therapy in inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, skilled, and orthopedic and rehabilitation settings. I have held management positions through most of my career. In 1995 I began to specialize in women's health treatment with post-graduate training, taking the American Physical Therapy Association Pelvic Floor Dysfunction course and other women's health specialty courses. I received training in the Management of Lymphedema in 2006 through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. I started my training in the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) therapy approach in 2000 and have been advancing my expertise and credentials every year. I am now recognized as an Advanced Myofascial Release Therapist and as a specialized provider for treating Women's Health conditions. Since moving to Omaha in 2005, I have established an excellent professional relationship with the area's Pain Management, Family Practice and OB/GYN physicians. I am committed to continuing professional education for myself, and utilizing the best practice techniques available for the benefit of my clients.
Recreation time is spent with Tom, my husband, bicycling, walking, and traveling. In the summer, Tom and I enjoy jeeps rides around Omaha, catching some blues music in a local venue and quiet times on our back porch. In the winter, I do needlework, quilt or read a book by the fireplace. Tom and I also enjoy travels to visit family, including our 3 children, friends and exploring natural scenic destinations.
